Description
AeroShell Fluid 41 is the red, mineral-based hydraulic fluid that meets the MIL-PRF-5606 specification — the standard fluid for many general aviation brake and hydraulic systems, including a lot of Cessna and Piper landing-gear and brake applications. It carries corrosion and wear additives and stays serviceable across a wide temperature range.
Always confirm your aircraft’s maintenance manual calls for a 5606-type fluid before topping off brakes or a hydraulic reservoir — don’t mix fluid types. Bought by the quart, it’s the kind of shelf staple owners and A&Ps keep in the hangar for brake bleeds and reservoir service.
